GENERAL CONTEXT
Médecins Sans Frontières is an international independent medical-humanitarian organization, which offers assistance to populations in distress, to victims of natural or man-made disasters and to victims of armed conflict, without discrimination and irrespective of race, religion, creed or political affiliation.

 

GENERAL OBJECTIVE

  • Coordinate the execution of the roadmap of evolutions within Fundraising Applications ecosystem to add value to IT and business processes and needs, that meet functional, technical and security requirements. Evolutions could mean improvements and/or new functionalities and solutions to current and/or new applications and technologies.
  • Coordinate the work focusing on innovation, following frameworks of product lifecycle, software development lifecycle and Project Management.
  • Collaborate very closely to stakeholders departments to understand their business needs and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Work in collaboration with the Fundraising Applications & Websites Operation Manager to ensure compliance and continuity of common processes and a smooth handover, with other Projects&IT office team coordinators, with internal clients and key stakeholders from other Departments.

The solutions for innovation coordination by the Fundraising Applications Evolution Manager will be focused on Salesforce, and a whole ecosystem of applications supporting it, such as data validation processes or payment solutions, among others that might dynamically change based on organizational needs.

 

The Fundraising Applications Evolution Manager will work within the Projects & IT team, and she/he will be hierarchically and functionally accountable to the Head of Applications.

 

MAIN FUNCTIONS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

  • Manage software evolutions 
    • Coordinate the execution of the roadmap of evolutions previously agreed by the Head of Applications with Fundraising Referents, following Projects &IT Strategic Plan and MSF OCBA priorities to ensure demand is aligned with both, business and IT and to guarantee transparency, accountability and compliance with the rules of MSF OCBA.
    • Proactively identify areas of improvement and opportunities in the exiting processes to evolve current systems and applications, with the final goal of adding value to customer business processes and seek for a continuous improving in their operations.
    • Assure a well and continuous coordination with the Fundraising Applications & Websites Operations Manager in the general management of the systems, architecture of solutions, planning of evolutions, changes, and tasks of the Evolutions area in general.
    • Coordinate and ensure a smooth handover of evolutions to Fundraising Applications & Websites Operation area: define maintenance rules, procedures and processes between teams, prepare and maintain documentation and train the technical team that will be responsible for maintaining them. Ensure new solutions are correctly adopted in the Service Catalogue following internal procedures.
    • Coordinate and assure the appropriate execution of the different activities of the Fundraising Applications Evolution team, according to the guidance of the Head of Applications and MSF OCBA relevant procedures.
    • Ensure that the implementation of evolutions follow the strategies, processes and procedures established by the Information Security Unit and Data Protection Officer.
    • Ensure coordination of evolutions together with Architecture & Data Unit, especially for integrations and new solutions.

    • Apply standard frameworks and IT overall guidelines, such as ensuring that software development lifecycle of applications procedures both logically and in different physical environments (development, integration, production) are followed.
    • Software Development, Product and Project Management
      • Coordinate the evolutions following the stages of software development lifecycle methodology.
      • Coordinate the execution of evolutions and new solutions applying Project Management standards, methodologies, and best practices.
      • Apply a product approach when executing the Fundraising Applications evolution roadmap, under the guidelines of the Head of Applications.
  • Team management
    • Coordinate the activities of the team of technicians under his/her supervision technicians (internal and external).
    • Manage and ensure the provision of relevant trainings to the Fundraising Applications Evolution team.
  • Manage suppliers & third parties – budget, contracts, invoices, SLA-
    • Coordinate that the delivery of the activities provided by external providers and activities in the area under his/her responsibility, meet the agreed quality, time and cost.
    • Coordinate the new or renew of contracts following procurement processes and P&IT strategies, which may include tender processes.
    • Monitor the compliance of contractually agreed terms with the outsourcer upon KPIs and SLAs, including contract and invoice management.
  • Manage stakeholders
    • Build a relationship based in trust with the internal clients, supported by a stakeholders methodology with orientation in service management, according to the guidance of the Head of Applications.
    • Contribute to the sharing of knowledge to the organization in the areas under his/her responsibility.
    • Provide users with solutions related to the area with a proactive approach that responds to their needs in the best possible way.
  • Control & reporting
    • Provide the status of work in progress and/or issues related to the Head of Applications, working with key metrics, KPIs and trends, in the context of Fundraising Applications evolution area.

 

SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Academic background: Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration and Management or similar. 
  • 4 years experience in coordination of activities within a multinational and multicultural setting.
  • 4 years experience in software fundraising applications (CRM, payments, online marketing, websites, others) maintenance services or projects.
  • Experience in project management and team management.
  • Experience in managing technology providers including negotiation, monitoring service delivery and addressing vendor performance issues.
  • Desirable knowledge of best practices frameworks and standard methodologies: ITIL, COBIT, SCRUM, Agile, PRINCE2, LeanIT.
  • Knowledge in Salesforce is a big asset.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
  • Good command of Microsoft Office and/or Open Office, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio.
  • Good command of one of the solutions in the team portfolio, and good understanding of the whole portfolio, especially Salesforce and related technologies.
  • Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle methodologies and best practices.
  • Experience in Information Security is an asset.
  • Experience in Business Analysis is an asset.

 

CONDITIONS

  • Position based in Barcelona–Spain, at the Médecins Sans Frontières Spain Headquarters.
  • Full time job.
  • Permanent position with a minimum commitment with the position of 3 years
  • Annual gross salary: HQ-4A level -€44,250 (divided into twelve monthly payments) + Secondary Benefits based on the MSF-OCBA Reward Policy .
  • Starting date: immediately.
