GENERAL CONTEXT
Médecins Sans Frontières is an international independent medical-humanitarian organization, which offers assistance to populations in distress, to victims of natural or man-made disasters and to victims of armed conflict, without discrimination and irrespective of race, religion, creed or political affiliation. Each individual working with MSF does it out of conviction and is ready to uphold the values and principles of MSF. The MSF movement is built around six operational directorates. MSF OCBA is one of those directorates. The operations are implemented by field teams and the mission coordination teams; together with the organizational units based in Barcelona and decentralized in Nairobi, Dakar and Amman. The field operations are guided and supported by 5 Operational Cells, the Emergency Unit and other departments supporting operations, including the HR Department.
Tembo is a Learner-centered space that provides efficient digital learning and development opportunities adapted for all MSF staff, to be better contribute to MSF operations and MSF social mission. The mission of Tembo is to become a personal and organizational digital learning & development ecosystem used across MSF, supporting mutualization and gaining efficiency between OCs, and providing a space for all MSF staff to learn, develop themselves and share knowledge.
GENERAL OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION
The MSF-Tembo eLearning officer production specialist, working under the supervisor of the TEMBO Head of Add On Services, is responsible for the development of elearning solutions, always looking at providing creative and best quality services that meet MSF Movement learning needs.
A large piece of this work will include generating new e-learning solutions, adapted to the needs of MSF projects and field staff. This involves engaging all the steps of the learning cycle, including learning needs analysis, solutions design, product development, testing and implementation.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and develop e-learning materials in collaboration with the subject matter expert /Course owner and the rest of the team. Responsible for the production of the course and e-learning materials using the organisation's standard tools: Articulate Storyline, Rise, Vyond and Adobe suite.
- Participates in the selection of the best e-learning technology or solution that best fits learning goals (taking into account both pedagogical and technological matters).
- Engage with the different project stakeholder (e.g. SME) to ensure the development of the adequate e-learning solution.
- Ensures the quality of the e-learning materials generated and that these are adapted to the needs and specifications of the course and users (type of audience, connectivity, digital skills, etc...).
- Upload, configure and implement e-learning material into the TEMBO Digital Learning Ecosystem (Totara platform).
- Develop the rapid prototype and programmed working model upon which the final product is based.
- Participates in the maintenance, translation, localization and update of ongoing e-learning solutions.
- Use and maintain design documents, course content and lists of media elements.
- Conducting research on various topics, such as new e-learning tools, different approaches to training from a technical point of view, updates on existing programs and new functionalities they incorporate, etc.
- Develop media and graphic content.
SELECTION CRITERIA
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Educational Psychology, Pedagogy, Educational or Learning Sciences or e-learning related fields.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in the production of e-learning materials.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in learning environment development, keeping up-to-date with latest eLearning Trends in the industry.
- Experience in coordination and monitoring of e-learning projects, ensuring compliance with deliverables, adequate use of resources and quality standards.
- Experience in working for a diverse, non-technical, multilingual, and geographically spread organization.
- Experience in Design Thinking and UX is an asset.
- English as working language, Spanish and Arabic desirable.
Technical Knowledge
- Good command of Totara.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in SCORM content production with Articulate Storyline and Rise.
- Vyond, Genially and H5P content production and edition is an asset.
- HTML basic knowledge desirable.
- Strong expertise in video editing.
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
- An understanding of the principles and practice of user centered design/product development.
- Visual design skills.
CONDITIONS
- Position based in any MSF OCBA Hub (Barcelona, MSF-Spain office delegations, Amman, Bogota, Dakar or Nairobi). Final location will be subject to the employability of the preselected candidate (residency, work permit, etc.).
- Full Time position.
- Contract duration: until 03/12/2025 with potential extension.
- Annual gross salary: HQ-3A (divided into 12 monthly payments) + secondary benefits based on MSF OCBA Reward Policy.
- Starting date: ASAP.
