SHORT EXPLANATION
This internship focuses on developing engaging and informative materials to train MSF field staff on the safe use, cleaning, care, and troubleshooting of medical equipment. By creating user-friendly resources, the intern will contribute to enhancing patient safety and the overall quality of care in MSF projects worldwide.

 

This is a unique opportunity to make a direct impact on MSF’s operations, ensuring safer patient care through better-informed staff.
The intern will be part of the Biomed and Cold Chain team within the Logistics and Supply Unit and will collaborate closely with various teams and departments, including Learning and Medical, to ensure a multidisciplinary approach and comprehensive outputs.

 

OBJECTIVES

 

During the internship, the student will:

  • Develop didactic, accessible, and innovative materials (e.g., infographics, videos, audios, games) to train MSF field staff on medical equipment.
  • Collaborate with MSF technical and medical teams to ensure materials are accurate, practical, and aligned with field realities.
  • Pilot the resources with field staff and adapt considering their feedback.

 

Tasks

  • Review existing MSF materials on medical equipment use and care.
  • Identify key training needs and knowledge gaps based on field feedback.
  • Design engaging and practical training materials (infographics, videos, games, etc.) tailored to MSF field staff.
  • Test the materials with field teams or representatives to ensure usability and relevance.
  • Document the process and provide recommendations for scaling and improving the training tools.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Skills: Strong communication, creativity, and proficiency in multimedia / content creation tools (e.g., Canva, PowerPoint, Illustrator, Adobe Premiere, video/audio editing platforms, or e-learning platforms, etc.) 
  • Experience / knowledge in designing training or educational materials.
  • Interest: Passionate about healthcare, humanitarian work, and innovative training solutions.
  • Languages: Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of French or Spanish is a plus.

 

CONDITIONS

  • Based in: Barcelona MSF office. 
  • The present internship will take place in 5 months, with a workload of 15 hours/week.
  • Salary: 450€/month
  • Possibility of hybrid work (remote, F2F in Barcelona Office) 
  • Starting date: October 2025.
  • Starting date and duration are flexible.
