MAIN PURPOSES
Ensure that the FINIS ERP solution aligns with MSF OCBA finance processes, policies, and operational needs, supporting effective implementation and adoption in the Field. The role contributes to successful system deployment, process standardization, and improved financial management.
JOB OVERVIEW
The Functional Support Referent plays a key role in the FINIS project by bridging finance, IT, and implementation partners. The position ensures that core ERP and offline apps functionalities meet Field’s requirements, supporting process design, system configuration, and user adoption. The role contributes to defining and improving finance processes, coordinating stakeholders, supporting testing and training, and ensuring data integrity during system transition. Working across regular and emergency Field contexts, the role promotes harmonization of financial practices when possible and supports change management efforts. It also ensures proper documentation and contributes to the long-term sustainability and effectiveness of the financial system.
TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyse and design finance processes at Field level (As-Is and To-Be) to improve efficiency and ensure alignment with MSF policies.
- Coordinate stakeholders across Finance, IT, and external partners to support consistent and effective ERP implementation.
- Identify and resolve functional system issues to maintain system usability and operational continuity.
- Conduct and validate user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure system performance and alignment with user needs.
- Support training delivery and development of learning materials to facilitate user adoption and system integration.
- Oversee data migration activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and minimal disruption during transition.
- Maintain functional documentation to support knowledge transfer and long-term system sustainability.
- Promote project engagement by acting as an ERP ambassador to foster stakeholder commitment and adoption.
ROLE´S SPECIFIC ELEMENTS
- Works within the FINIS project implementing Microsoft Dynamics as the new finance system.
- Covers financial and accounting processes at Field level including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, treasury and reporting.
- Operates across HQ and Field environments with diverse stakeholders and contexts.
- Collaborates with multiple departments and other system projects (e.g., HRIS, Supply IS).
- Contributes to replacing legacy systems (e.g., SAP, FFC).
- Requires adaptability to a complex, multicultural, and decentralized organization.
SELECTION CRITERIA
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in finance or accounting management within MSF OCBA missions as ACMA, FinCo, Accounting MIO, controller, etc.
- Proven experience in finance operations, including accounting, treasury and financial reporting.
- Experience using finance systems and tools, such as SAP, FFC or equivalent.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required. Knowledge of French and/or Spanish will be considered an asset.
- Strong knowledge of accounting management, treasury, financial reporting, internal controls and accounting processes is desirable.
- Good understanding of finance processes and systems, as well as the financial challenges of humanitarian field operations is desirable.
- Experience in ERP implementation projects, business analysis within digital or IT projects, and knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Finance will be considered strong assets.
CONDITIONS
- Position based in any MSF-OCBA Hub: Amman, Bogotá, Dakar, Nairobi, Barcelona, Bilbao, Sevilla or Madrid.
- Final location will be subject to the employability of the preselected candidate (e.g., residency, work permit, etc.).
- Full-time job.
- For level HQ-3A positions and if the role is based in one of our offices in Spain, the salary will be at €37,346.55. If the role is finally located at one of the OCBA regional hubs, compensation will be subject to the local pay scale applicable to that hub.
- Duration of position: Temporary, until June 2028.
- Starting date: 01/09/2026
