GENERAL CONTEXT

Médecins Sans Frontières is an international independent medical-humanitarian organization, which offers assistance to populations in distress, to victims of natural or man-made disasters and to victims of armed conflict, without discrimination and irrespective of race, religion, creed or political affiliation.

JOB OVERVIEW

Within the Human resources Department, the Intern will be involved with 2 of its units: the Pool Management team and the Recruitment team. The Recruitment team is mainly in charge of attracting and processing applicants for MSF OCBA’s international field missions. The candidates recruited then become part of MSF OCBA’s pool. The Pool management team is in charge of the recruited people, their field assignments and career development. 

 

The Recruitment team also facilitates Headquarters (HQ) recruitment processes.

 

The candidate chosen will give support to the recruitment unit during all the selection processes. S/he will mainly focus on field recruitment processes but will also collaborate on headquarter positions and pool management service when needed.

 

The internship will report to the Recruitment Coordinator and will work (depending on topic) with all the members of the team (recruiters).

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND MAIN TASKS

Although, we will prioritize initiatives depending on importance and workload of the position, the main tasks to be in charge of during the scholarship are:

 

In terms of Recruitment (90% of the time)

  • Publication of job offers for both field and HQ positions, ad hoc active search on LinkedIn of certain profiles.
  • Management of reception of applications, and other routine communication with candidates.
  • CV screnning for field and Headquarter recruitment.
  • Preliminary phone screnning for field and HQ recruitment.
  • Participation in designing active recruitment initiatives when needed.
  • Maintenance of Attraction Tracking System (SuccessFactor), its updates, running reports.
  • Support to the team in the organization of assessment centres.
  • Active or passive involvement in all stages of the recruitment process depending on necessities.

 

In terms of Pool Management (10% of the time)

  • Entering CVs in SAP database on request of Pool Managers.
  • Other administrative support needed by the team.

 

SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Currently studying Political Science, Psychology, HR, Business Administration and Management or similar branches.
  • Studies in International relations or international cooperation are an asset.
  • Interest in Recruitment.
  • Interest in digital technologies and their use in recruitment.
  • Good level of Excel and other MS Office tools.
  • Fluent in English & Spanish. French will be highly considered.

 

We are looking for a proactive person, with high orientation on quality of the results of her/his work and availability to provide polyvalent support to the team while being very independent on processing routine and repetitive tasks.

 

CONDITIONS

  • Based in any MSF Spain office: Barcelona, Bilbao, Madrid or Sevilla.
  • Full-time position (40 hours / week).
  • Conditions will be according to MSF internal “Internship policy” and will be formalized into an “Agreement” signed between MSF and the University detailing duties and obligations of each party.
  • Support package: 1300€ gross per month based on a 40-hour working week (based on the MSF OCBA Internship Policy).
  • Duration of position: 6 months.
  • Starting date: March 2026.

 

Only candidates who are able to sign an internship agreement through an educational institution will be considered
