GENERAL CONTEXT
Médecins Sans Frontières is an international independent medical-humanitarian organization, which offers assistance to populations in distress, to victims of natural or man-made disasters and to victims of armed conflict, without discrimination and irrespective of race, religion, creed or political affiliation.

Tembo is a learner-centered space that provides impactful and efficient digital learning and development opportunities, adapted for Global MSF Workforce to better contribute to MSF social mission — and aligned with MSF’s learning and organizational strategies.
MAIN PURPOSE
Support MSF Tembo communication and information activities, improving information sharing, promoting Tembo activities and strengthening clarity and consistency of reporting.
JOB OVERVIEW
The Communication and Information Support (Internship) assists Tembo in organising and delivering its communication, reporting and information activities. The role contributes to improving information sharing, promotion of activities, the quality and consistency of reporting across Tembo’s work. Under the supervision of the Communication and Information Officer, the Internship works closely with relevant team members to prepare content and maintain clear and accessible documentation.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND MAIN TASKS
- Communication:
- Support the Communication team with building packages promoting Tembo activities.
- Maintain up to date Tembo information pages (Sharepoint, Tembo website, Tembo brief, etc.).
- Participate in delivering the communication strategy (both internally and externally).
- Does research and mapping on various Communication’s topics.
- Reporting: Participate in the elaboration, design and dissemination of reports (annual, bi-annual, quaterly and ad-hocs reports).
- Internal Information Management:
- Participate in consolidating Tembo internal knowledge and information management.
- Draft and publish monthly internal newsletter.
- Keep up-to-date team templates.
The intern will focus on the three areas described above but also collaborate on other specific requests.
ROLE’S SPECIFIC ELEMENTS
- Internship position with a strong reporting and communication focus.
- Contribute to the implementation Tembo communication, information and fundraising plan.
- Gain knowledge of MSF.
SELECTION CRITERIA
- Currently studying Communication, Humanitarian Cooperation, Learning & Development, or any similar fields. Only candidates who can sign an agreement with their universities will be considered.
- Interest in the humanitarian sector and/or previous experience in the NGO or non-profit sector.
- Interest in Social Sciences and topics related to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
- Solid skills in production of communication material
- Solid digital skills (Word, Excel, PPT, Power BI, Mural, Canva, SharePoint etc…).
- Basic data analysis and reporting skills.
- Good organizational, analytical and planning skills.
- English mandatory. Working proficiency in Spanish and/or Arabic and/or French are a plus
CONDITIONS
- Position based in Barcelona, Spain.
- Part-time position (20 hours / week).
- Conditions will be according to MSF internal “Internship policy” and will be formalized into an “Agreement” signed between MSF and the University detailing duties and obligations of each party.
- Support package: 1300€ gross per month based on a 40-hour working week (based on the MSF OCBA Internship Policy).
- Duration of position: 6 months.
- Starting date: As soon as possible.
