GENERAL CONTEXT

MAIN PURPOSE 

Support the implementation of workforce strategies within Logistics & Supply Chain by ensuring effective workforce follow-up, deployment support and learning & development initiatives, contributing to operational capacity and workforce sustainability. 

 

JOB OVERVIEW 

The Logistics & Supply Chain Workforce Officer contributes to the effective management and development of the L&SC workforce by supporting workforce planning, deployment follow-up, data analysis and learning initiatives. The role acts as a key interface between operations, HR and field teams, ensuring accurate workforce data, coordinated learning actions and consistent implementation of workforce frameworks. Through analytical support, reporting and coordination, the position strengthens workforce capacity, supports strategic decision-making and contributes to continuous improvement of workforce processes across the L&SC function. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND MAIN TASKS 

  • Support the implementation of L&SC workforce planning by maintaining workforce data, tracking vacancies and supporting deployment follow-up to ensure workforce visibility and continuity. 
  • Coordinate with HR and operational stakeholders to support recruitment, onboarding and workforce processes, ensuring alignment with L&SC workforce needs. 
  • Monitor and analyze workforce and training data to produce accurate reports that inform decision-making and workforce strategies. 
  • Support the identification of learning and development needs and coordinate training initiatives to strengthen L&SC workforce capacity. 
  • Contribute to the development and rollout of learning materials and training experiences aligned with L&SC priorities. 
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of L&SC workforce structures and frameworks in the field. 
  • Contribute to initiatives promoting diversity and inclusion within the L&SC workforce, including gender-focused actions. 
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and support the adoption of tools and methodologies that enhance workforce management efficiency. 

 

ROLE´S SPECIFIC ELEMENTS

  • Combination of analytical, coordination and capacity-building responsibilities. 
  • Focused on leveraging AI to develop tools that support and optimize workforce unit processes. 
  • Focused on ensuring robust data management to enable informed decision-making. 

 

SELECTION CRITERIA 

  • University degree in Human Resources, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field is required. Training or certification in Learning & Development will be considered an asset.  
  • Proven experience in learning and development, workforce management, HR or logistics-related roles, preferably within international or humanitarian environments.  
  • Experience organizing and coordinating training programs (field, face-to-face and/or online), ideally within Médecins Sans Frontières or similar organizations.  
  • Strong understanding of HR and workforce management processes, including workforce data management and reporting tools.  
  • Fluency in English and French is required. Spanish will be considered an asset.  
  • Interest or background in AI and digital learning tools, whether through formal education or self-directed learning, will be considered an asset. 

 

CONDITIONS 

  • Position based in any MSF-OCBA hub. Final location will depend on the employability of the selected candidate (e.g. residency, work permit, etc.).  
  • Full-time position.  
  • Annual Gross Salary: level HQ-3A + secondary benefits based on MSF OCBA Reward Policy. Subjected to local conditions. 
  • Contract duration: Permanent contract 
  • Starting date: as soon as possible. Preferred start date is May/June 2026.
