GENERAL CONTEXT OF THE POSITION
Médecins Sans Frontières is an international independent medical-humanitarian organization, which offers assistance to populations in distress, to victims of natural or man-made disasters and to victims of armed conflict, without discrimination and irrespective of race, religion, creed or political affiliation.

MAIN PURPOSE
To lead strategic projects in knowledge management, innovation, and AI adoption within the Fundraising Department, ensuring improved knowledge capitalization, technological optimization, and responsible integration of AI solutions to strengthen sustainability and efficiency.
JOB OVERVIEW
The position manages cross-departmental projects delegated by the Director of Fundraising, focusing on knowledge management, innovation initiatives, and AI adoption. It ensures strategic alignment with MSF Spain’s fundraising priorities, promotes knowledge sharing, and leverages technology for operational efficiency. The role also supports departmental coordination and fosters collaborative work dynamics to achieve long-term sustainability goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement a knowledge management strategy to enhance information access and knowledge capitalization across Fundraising.
- Coordinate and optimize knowledge platforms and repositories, ensuring usability and accessibility.
- Support and track innovation initiatives, providing tools and methodologies for feasibility and strategic alignment.
- Act as AI focal point, piloting AI-assisted solutions and ensuring compliance with ethical and responsible use principles.
- Strengthen AI fluency among staff through training, best practices, and peer learning initiatives.
- Assess and propose technology optimization opportunities to improve efficiency and resource utilization.
- Facilitate cross-departmental coordination, workshops, and reporting to support strategic objectives.
- Engage with international MSF structures to share knowledge and mutualize innovation efforts.
ROLE’S SPECIFIC ELEMENTS
- Strategic leadership in AI adoption and technology optimization within Fundraising.
- Strong emphasis on knowledge management and innovation methodologies.
- Coordination with multiple stakeholders across MSF Spain and international platforms.
SELECTION CRITERIA
- Bachelor’s degree in product design, IT, social sciences, or related fields with innovation focus is essential.
- Fundraising experience at MSF is essential.
- Proven experience managing complex, multi-layer projects with digital focus is essential.
- Field experience in humanitarian projects with MSF or similar organizations is desirable.
- Desirable knowledge of change management and principles and tools.
- Expertise in co-creation methodologies and facilitation of participatory workshops.
- Proficient in project control and collaboration tools.
- Understanding of MSF Spain Fundraising structures and articulation with Home Society.
- Essential high command of Spanish and English languages. Knowledge of French is an asset.
CONDITIONS
- Position based in MSF-OCBA Barcelona headquarters.
- Duration of position: Permanent position
- Full-time position.
- Annual gross salary: level HQ-4A (divided in 12 monthly payments) + secondary benefits based on MSF OCBA Reward Policy.
- Starting date: As soon as possible.
