PROJECT MANAGER -SUPPORTIVE RELATIONSHIP IN CARE- TIC

ES

Full Time
Operations

Do your skills and experience not precisely match the requirements? MSF-OCBA is an organization committed to promoting diversity and equity by providing equal access to professional opportunities. We understand that women, people of colour, indigenous individuals, members of the LGTBI+ community, and other underrepresented groups often hesitate to apply for employment if they don't meet all the requirements. At MSF-OCBA, we strive to create a diverse, inclusive, and genuine workplace. Therefore, if you're interested in this position but your experience doesn't align perfectly with the selection criteria, we encourage you to apply anyway. You might be the ideal candidate for this or other positions.

GENERAL CONTEXT

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international independent medical humanitarian action-driven organization, which offers assistance to populations in distress, to victims of natural or man-made disasters and to victims of armed conflict, without discrimination and irrespective of race, religion, creed or political affiliation. The MSF movement is built around six operational directorates supported by MSF’s 21 sections, 24 associations and other offices together worldwide.

MAIN PURPOSE

Lead the TIC incubator project which aims to effectively improve supportive relationships in care (SRC) at project level through interventions in at least 4 pilot projects that lead to a demonstrated change in people, interactions and practice.

This includes overall steering of the project, expert content development, training and mentoring as well as overseeing analysis and production of external publication.

JOB OVERVIEW

MSF works in dynamic and often extremely challenging contexts where the softer aspects of caring for patients can sometimes be overlooked, yet the importance of fostering a supportive, compassionate and respectful relationship between staff of a health facility and patients cannot be overstated.

There is strong evidence that supportive relationships among care providers directly improve the quality and safety of care. Psychological safety in clinical teams is associated with earlier detection of errors and better adaptation under pressure (Edmondson, 1999). Improving supportive relationships is key to a people centred approach (proximity, dialogue and dignity) and significantly contributes to Quality of Care, Safeguarding as well as DEI transversal objectives
