GENERAL CONTEXT
Médecins Sans Frontières / Médicos Sin Fronteras is an international, independent medical-humanitarian organization that offers assistance to populations in distress, to victims of natural or man-made disasters, and to victims of armed conflict, without discrimination and irrespective of race, religion, creed, or political affiliation. Each individual working with MSF does so out of conviction and is ready to uphold the values and principles of MSF.
The MSF movement is built around six operational directorates: Paris, Brussels, Geneva, Barcelona, Amsterdam and Abidjan.
GENERAL OBJECTIVE
The Supply Chain Data Analysis Intern will be based at MSF Barcelona and will support the Supply Chain Business Analysis Referent. The main objective of this internship is to assist with the continuous improvement process, data collection and cleaning, analysis support, and supply chain business intelligence tasks. The intern will gain valuable experience in supply chain (specifically medical/pharma/humanitarian supply chain), data analysis, data visualization, and project-based collaboration in a multicultural environment.
SCOPE OF TOPICS
- Supply Chain planning and optimization.
- Medical and logistics inventory management/warehousing.
- Local/international order management (transport).
- Big Data / Business Analytics.
- AI for Supply Chain planning.
- Performance measurement and continuous improvement.
- Data management and quality control.
- Business Intelligence and reporting based on IT systems and tools.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
- Assist in generating and updating supply chain performance measurement reports and visualizations.
- Assist in compiling and presenting data for internal stakeholders and cross-departmental needs.
- Support analysis for medical ordering, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Participate in identifying supply chain challenges and proposing improvements.
- Assist in ensuring data quality, consistency, and documentation.
COLLABORATION & COMMUNICATION LINES
- Daily collaboration with the Supply Chain Business Analysis Referent.
- Regular interaction with members of the Supply Chain Unit.
- Occasional exchanges with colleagues in Operations, Medical, Logistics, Finance, and IT/Projects.
SELECTION CRITERIA
Mandatory:
- Studying Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Data Science or similar.
- Languages: fluent Spanish and English (minimum B.2.).
- Knowledge of Excel (medium).
- Knowledge of Python (basic).
Additional:
- Studying Master’s Degree in Engineering, Organization, Supply Chain, Transport, Data Science, Computer Science, Business Administration or similar.
- Languages: Catalan and French.
- Knowledge of SQL and other data management systems.
- Knowledge of Power BI and other Business Intelligence systems.
CONDITIONS
- Based in: Barcelona MSF office.
- Salary: 600€/month for a 19h of work per week (Part time).
- Contract starting in September 2025 and ending December 2025.
- Possibility to work remotely one or two days a week.
- Part time Position.
